Atelier Bordelle’s (“we”, “us”, “our”, “the studio”, “the atelier”) website (“our site”) and related services are made available to you in accordance with the below Terms & Conditions. Please make sure you read and fully understand our Terms & Conditions before placing any orders with Atelier Bordelle. We recommend you print a copy of our terms for future reference. If you are using a guardian’s credit or debit card to make a purchase you must let your guardian know about our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy before subscribing and/or signing up to our site. Due to the nature of our products, we reserve the right to decline orders from under 18 year olds.

Creating an account/newsletter subscription
To make a purchase on our website you are not required to register. You can proceed to checkout as a visitor should you not wish to open an account. To be able to use some of the features (e.g. order history, our loyalty scheme) you will need to create an account with us. To be notified of any promotional offers, discounts and/or special events, you will need to subscribe to our newsletter. You do not need to create an account to subscribe to our newsletter, but can opt to do so once you have created an account and have signed in. When you register, you are required to provide information about yourself that is true, accurate, current and complete in all respects. The account password you provide should be unique and kept secure. You must notify customerservice@bordelle.co.uk immediately of any breaches in security or unauthorised use of your account. Should any of your registration information change you can sign in to your account by clicking on the ‘Account’ tab on the main menu of the homepage and update/edit your personal information, billing and shipping address(s). We may change account requirements from time to time so please check for updates on a regular basis.
Placing an order
Acceptance of your order
Once you have made your choice and your order has been placed, you will receive an email acknowledging the details of your order. This email is NOT an acceptance of your order, just an acknowledgement that we have received it. Unless you cancel your order, acceptance of your order and completion of the contract between you and Atelier Bordelle will be completed when we email you to confirm the goods have been dispatched. For the avoidance of doubt, the contract has been concluded in London, in the English language and is therefore governed by English law.
We reserve the right not to accept your order in the event that we do not obtain authorisation for payment; that shipping restrictions apply to a particular item; or that the item ordered is out of stock.
We may refuse to process and therefore accept a transaction for any reason, or refuse service to anyone at any time at our sole discretion. We will not be liable to you or any third party by reason of our withdrawing any product from the website at any time, whether or not that particular product has been sold out.
Eligibility to purchase
In order to make purchases through the website, you are required to provide your personal details. Customers must provide their real name, billing address, shipping address, phone number, email address and other requested information as indicated. Furthermore, when ordering items, you will be required to provide your payment details, and you represent and warrant that the payment details you provide on ordering are both valid and correct. Our site is only available for use to individuals who meet our terms of eligibility and who have been issued with a valid debit/credit card by a bank acceptable to Atelier Bordelle and whose applications are acceptable to Atelier Bordelle. Atelier Bordelle reserves the right to refuse to ship multiple items to any one customer or postal address.
By making an offer to purchase Atelier Bordelle merchandise you expressly authorise us to perform credit checks and where we deem necessary, to request additional information from third parties in order to authenticate your identity and validate your credit/debit card details in order to process your order.
If you are shopping for the first time on www.bordelle.co.uk your billing address must match your shipping or corporate address, as appears on the statement of your card. This is a security measure and only applies to your first purchase. Please note that checks will be carried out to ensure that your billing and shipping addresses match on your first purchase.
Pricing policy
Prices are indicated based on shipping location. UK customers see prices inclusive of UK VAT, North and South American customers view prices in USD and International customers view prices in GBP, without taxes.
For customers outside of the UK, please note that your order may be subject to import duties and taxes during transit, over which we have no control as they are levied by your tax and customs office. As the customer and importer of the goods, you will be responsible for these charges. Import duties or tax costs will be invoiced to you directly from the appointed forwarder. We recommend you contact your local customs authority to determine a landed cost price prior to purchase completion. Atelier Bordelle is not responsible for any delays on goods that have been held back as a result of procedures carried out by your local customs authorities.
Payment
Payment can be made by Visa, Visa Electron, Visa Debit, Visa Delta, MasterCard, American Express, Maestro debit cards, ShopPay, Apple Pay, Google Pay and via PayPal.
By card
Debit and credit card payments are processed via Shopify Payments, a secure payment gateway provided by Shopify. Atelier Bordelle’s website and online shop is hosted by www.shopify.com. All Shopify stores include a 128 bit SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology Certificate used by the store shopping cart. In addition, Shopify’s e-commerce hosting is Level 1 PCI Compliant.
By PayPal
PayPal is an online payment processing company widely used on the Internet to facilitate sales transactions, including credit card payments. When you proceed with making your online purchase and you select PayPal as a method of payment you will be transferred to the PayPal site where your transaction will be processed. You do not need a PayPal account and there is no additional cost to you. For more information about PayPal, follow this link www.paypal.com.
Payment will be debited and cleared from your account upon receipt of an order acknowledgement email. You confirm that the credit/debit card that is being used is yours or that you have been specifically authorised by the owner of the credit/debit card to use it. All credit/debit card holders are subject to validation checks and authorization by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorize payment to Bordelle, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.
Furthermore, we take reasonable care, in so far as it is in our power to do so, to keep the details of your order and payment secure, but in the absence of negligence on our part we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorized access to any data you provide when accessing or ordering from the Site.
With Clearpay
This payment option is available to customers in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. General information about Clearpay can be found here.
Payment is to be made to Clearpay:

By wire transfer
We also accept payment by electronic wire transfers. Should you wish to place an order and pay in this way please contact customerservice@bordelle.co.uk stating your order. An invoice will be raised on confirmation of the order listing our corresponding bank details for a transfer to be made. Goods will only be dispatched on receipt of the funds.
Promotional codes, discounts and credit notes:
Promotional codes are non-transferrable and there are no cash alternatives. If provided, they must be redeemed by the date published. Discount and promotional codes are limited to one use per customer unless otherwise stated. Discount codes are usually provided via email through our newsletter or visible on our social media accounts. Discount codes cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer unless otherwise stated. Discounts visible on the website without the use of a code are available only when visible on the website and cannot be applied to an order retrospectively or after the closure of the online sale. Discount codes cannot be used in conjunction with any site-wide promotion. Credit notes are non-cash transferrable and must also be used within the allocated period either by emailing customerservice@bordelle.co.uk or using the code you have been provided with at the checkout.
Gift Cards
Bordelle Virtual Gift Cards are sold subject to the following terms and conditions:
1. Gift Cards are valid for 12 months from date of purchase. After that time, any remaining balance on the Gift Card cannot be used.
2. Gift Cards can be redeemed against all products on the online shop and Printed Gift Cards can be redeemed against all products online and in the Bordelle Showroom. Gift Cards cannot be used to purchase services (e.g. repair services. Use of Gift Cards for Made to Order/Bespoke products is at our discretion - please contact us to discuss this.
3. Gift Cards are non transferable and may not be returned or redeemed for cash.
4. If your order is less than a value of the Gift Card, your remaining balance will stay under the same Gift Card code, which can be redeemed against your next order.
5. If your order exceeds the value of the Gift Card and you have existing store credit, this can be redeemed to cover the remaining balance. All remaining balances exceeding the value of your gift credit or store credit must be paid by credit or debit card.
6. If you return products you have purchased using a Gift Card, the value of the returned goods will be refunded back to the same Gift Card as store credit and can be redeemed against subsequent orders. The remaining validity period for the Gift Card will not be extended. If another payment method was also used for the original purchase, the Gift Card will be prioritised for refund, and any remaining balance refunded to the second payment method.
7. A link to your Gift Card will be sent to the email address used to place your order once the order has been processed and the payment confirmed. This email can be forwarded to your required recipient, with a personal note included at your own discretion.
8. Printed Gift Cards are dispatched to the specified shipping address from our studio. Processing time is up to 2 working days for Printed Gift Cards.
9. Bordelle is not liable for delivery of a Virtual Gift Card to an incorrect or non-existent email address that you have provided to us, or a Printed Gift Card to an incorrect shipping address you have provided to us. This is the sole responsibility of the buyer, although if you notify us of any problems in this regard, we will provide all reasonable assistance, but if the Gift Card is used by the incorrect recipient then we cannot be held responsible for that.
10. Bordelle is not responsible if a Gift Card is lost, stolen, destroyed or used without permission and you will not be eligible for any refund in these circumstances.
11. Bordelle reserves the right to cancel a Gift Card if we deem such action necessary.
12. Gift Cards are not redeemable against shipping costs.
13. Gift Cards can be used in conjunction with promotions and discounts advertised by Bordelle.
Holiday Order Dates
Please be aware of expected delays to our usual services during the holiday period due to high volumes of shipments sent out with our couriers.
The Bordelle website will be operational throughout the festive period, however, due to courier transit time during the busy holiday season, we recommend placing orders before the below dates for your shipping location in order to ensure delivery before 22nd December 2023.
United Kingdom - 19th December (Express: 1-3 business days)
USA & Canada - 15th December (Express: 6-7 business days)
Australia - 14th December (Express: 7-11 business days)
Asia/Russia/Africa and Rest of World - 13th December (Express: 7-11 business days)
For destinations where goods are required to clear customs (all locations except UK), we recommend tracking your order regularly during peak season to ensure you are aware of any unexpected delays. Bordelle cannot be held accountable for unexpected delays due to extended courier transit times and/or clearance delays. We appreciate your patience during this time.
Shipping and Delivery
Atelier Bordelle aims to dispatch your order within 48 hours of receipt of payment details – excluding weekends, bank holidays and public holidays. This is subject to credit clearance and availability of stock. If a particular product is not in stock, or sold out, we will contact you via email to resolve the matter.
To offer you the most secure and efficient service we have chosen Royal Mail or DPD for all UK deliveries. DPD offer a two hour delivery slot with email/text updates providing this has been entered. We use Fedex, UPS or Skynet for international deliveries. As soon as your order has been shipped you will receive a dispatch confirmation with the tracking number (Air Waybill) from the corresponding delivery company, together with details on how to track your order. Please note that these services might not be available during the festive and pre-festive days. Also note that the estimated delivery times are to be used as a guide only, and Atelier Bordelle is not responsible for any delays caused by destination customs clearance processes.

Tracking Your Order - Enter your order number and email address here to get updates on the status of your order. We recommend staying up to date with your shipments progress in case there are any exceptions during transit. Your order will require a signature for delivery, so please ensure you are at home during the estimated delivery time.
Atelier Bordelle insures each purchase for the time it is in transit only. A signature is required for any goods delivered, at which point responsibility for your purchased goods is passed to you. If you request to waive the signature requirement, neither Atelier Bordelle nor the courier company will hold any responsibly for a lost package. In the United States, all shipments are sent with a signed for service, however couriers can legally deliver without requesting a signature.
If a package is marked as delivered but has not been received, Atelier Bordelle will run a full investigation with our Delivery team and appropriate courier. In general, a resolution cannot be offered until a response is received by the courier, which can take several weeks.
For customers shipping outside of the UK, import duties and taxes may be invoiced to you during transit. These charges are levied by your local customs and tax office and Bordelle has no say or control over them. Estimated transit times to international destinations can be subject to customs clearance. We recommend you stay up to date with your order by following the tracking to ensure delivery as soon as is possible. Import duties and taxes will remain attached to a shipment if the package is returned after non-payment and will remain the responsibility of the customer.
For United States customers purchasing an order with a value of over $2,500.00, customs will require your Social Security Number or Tax ID in order to clear your shipment. This will be requested directly via the courier.
Unfortunately, due to carriers withdrawing their services and the uncertain situation on the ground, Bordelle Ltd will no longer be able to ship online orders to addresses in Ukraine or Russia. This will apply until further notice.
Delivery Requirements
PO BOX
Please note that Atelier Bordelle’s nominated couriers do not deliver to a PO Box address. You will be contacted for an address amendment if a PO Box address is input at checkout, which could cause delays with the dispatch of your order.
Shipping to Mexico
Please note that when delivering to Mexico there are strict customs rules which will require consideration prior to dispatch. Any order above 1000USD cannot be cleared through Mexican customs without a hired customs broker, which is the responsibility of the customer. If you do not already have a customs broker, we recommend that you place your order in smaller increments below 1000USD. Bordelle will contact you if we are required to split an order above this value and will invoice for the additional shipping charges.

Please note that due to requirements of Russian customs, all deliveries to Russia will require customers to provide us with the following information prior to the dispatch of their order.

Packaging
As standard, all Bordelle orders below £500.00 will be dispatched in our Standard Packaging. This includes a Bordelle Gift box in one of three sizes. The products will be contained in tissue paper and a gift message can be added to the order at the checkout.
Orders over £500.00 qualify for Free Luxury Gift Wrap which will be automatically applied at the checkout. If an order is below this value, Luxury Gift Wrap can be purchased.
Returns Policy
We hope you are fully satisfied with your purchase; however if you wish to request an exchange or refund, we will accept returns requested within 14 days of delivery of your order.
Please ensure the items are returned to us in a new and unworn condition, with all original labels and tags still intact and inside the original packaging. Please ensure to wear your own lingerie when trying on briefs and thongs for the purpose of hygiene. Products that are returned damaged or worn will be considered to be in an unsellable condition and therefore may affect your refund. For hygiene reasons we cannot accept returns on Hosiery items that have been opened and/or have a broken or removed seal.
Please register your return or exchange request via our Return Portal.
Submitting your request via the Returns Portal:
1. Enter your email and order number
2. Select the item(s) you wish to return for refund, exchange or credit
note
3. Finalise your return request on the Returns Portal
4. Use UPS courier label included inside your package. For international customers, be sure to fill out Returns Commercial Invoices
5. Package up your return and ensure garments are in required
condition
6. Record tracking number and take to courier drop-off or arrange
collection
Once your return request has been processed via the portal we recommend that you keep a note of the tracking number included on the UPS label before dispatching, for your personal records. If this label is used, the cost of the label will be deducted from your refund upon receipt of the items at our warehouse. This is charged at £9.00 (inc VAT) for UK customers, £35.00 for USA customers and £40.00 for Rest of World customers.
Atelier Bordelle will contact you within 5 days (with the exception of weekends and public holidays) of receipt of the returned goods. A refund,
partial refund or, if requested, a Credit Note will be issued subject to the returned goods meeting the required conditions listed above.
Please note:
- All returns must be requested within 14 days of delivery.
- All returns should be registered on our Returns Portal. If you require assistance with this, please contact out customer service team.
- Please include your Order Document inside your return package.
- If you have received a damaged or faulty item, please contact out customer service team prior to arranging your return.
- Please record the tracking number of your return package if arranged with the pre-paid UPS Label or with your own preferred courier.
- Hosiery products can only be returned if the envelope is unopened and the seal has not been broken or removed.
Exchanges & Credit Notes
Should you wish to exchange your order for a different size and/or product(s) or be issued with a credit note, please use the instructions above to request your exchange via our Returns Portal. Here you can exchange for the same item in a new size. If you wish to exchange for a different style or in a different colour, please contact our customer service team on customerservice@bordelle.co.uk and they can assist you with this by checking stock availability. If stock is available then this will be held for 14 days from the time of your request.
Atelier Bordelle will be in contact with you within 5 days of receipt (with the exception of weekends and public holidays) of your returned order. If the UPS returns label has been used, these shipping costs are charged to you before sending out the exchange. Exchanges are subject to stock availability.
Should you opt for a credit note, you will receive an email confirming the amount of credit you have with Atelier Bordelle. The credit is valid for a total of 6 months from the date of receipt and may be redeemed on any Bordelle product by using the Gift Voucher provided, by entering the code at the checkout. If the value of the credit is greater than the total cost of a new transaction, the outstanding credit will remain on the gift note for future redemption. Credit notes may be used in conjunction with other forms of payment in order to fulfil an order of greater value than the credit amount.
Returns policy for goods:
We want our customers to be fully satisfied with the choice they have made. If for any reason you are not happy with your order, or the delivered product does not match with your expectations you have the right to revoke this agreement within fourteen (14) days without giving reason. The revocation term shall be fourteen (14) days starting at the date at which you or any third party designated by you (other than the delivery agent) shall have taken possession of the product.
You shall be responsible for any deterioration of the product only if such deterioration has been caused by any treatment exceeding the orderly examination of the condition, characteristics, and functionality of the product.
In that regard we assume and kindly ask you to return the product(s) to us in a new and unworn condition with all original labels and tags still intact and inside the original bag and packaging. Please be sure to wear your own lingerie when trying on briefs and thongs. For the avoidance of doubt, this will not adversely affect your ability to return the product(s) with respect to the exercise of your statutory right of revocation. However, we want to highlight that any use of the goods beyond the intended use of the product(s), which was not necessary for testing the condition, characteristics and functioning of the product(s) and which leads to a loss of value, may affect the refund of the purchase price.
For ensuring best possible processing of your revocation, the notice of contract revocation should be requested through the online Returns Portal, by providing your email address and order number.
However, if you do not want to use our Returns Portal, you can also exercise your right of revocation by informing us through explicit notice (e.g. email) about your decision to revoke this agreement. You may use the revocation form which we attached hereto but this is not mandatory. To meet the deadline for revocation, it shall be sufficient that you send away the notice on the revocation of this agreement prior to expiry of the revocation deadline. However, please note that any other process than the use of the Returns Portal may potentially incur delays due to increased processing and logistical efforts.
Effects of revocation
If you revoke this agreement, we must refund to you all payments that we have received for products. We will refund the payments immediately, however, no later than by fourteen (14) days after the date at which we have received your notice of withdrawal of this agreement. For such refund, we shall use the same payment method that you have used for payment of the original transaction unless we have expressly agreed otherwise with you; in no event, we will charge any fees for the refund. Refunds will be processed once we have received the product back.
You must immediately, in any case no later than fourteen days after the date at which you have notified us on your withdrawal of this agreement, return the goods to us. To meet the deadline, it shall be sufficient that you send away the products prior to expiry of the deadline.

You bear the direct costs of returning the goods. If you do not wish to use our Returns Portal but wish to arrange the return yourself, we recommend that you use a tracked and signed for service, with a courier or registered postal service to send back the goods to the address above. We suggest that you insure the goods as they are within your care. In case of dispute, we also recommend that you retain proof of return, such as a postal receipt or consignment note. Notwithstanding the foregoing, in no event will this affect your right to commission a shipping carrier of your choice to return the goods at your expense. As return address, please indicate the address of our warehouse, as indicated above.
Cancellation policy for services:
Where we provide services that are ordered via email (e.g repair services), then you have the right to cancel your contract within 14 days of us confirming acceptance of the order without giving any reason. However, you do not have the right to cancel if you requested for us to start providing the services during that 14-day cancellation period and the services are fully performed.
We will not start providing services during the 14-day cancellation period unless you ask us to. If you do ask us to, you acknowledge that you will lose your right to cancel this contract once the services are fully performed (i.e the work is completed). This means that if you requested for us to start providing the services during the cancellation period and the services are fully performed during this period, you lose your right to cancel and will be required to pay the full price under this contract even if the cancellation period has not expired.
This does not affect the rights you have if our services are faulty. A summary of these rights is provided below in the 'Quality Issues' section.
Quality Issues
If we provide goods or services to you that are not of sufficient quality, you have certain legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (also known as 'statutory rights'). For more detailed information on your rights and what you should expect from us, please:

- visit the Citizens Advice website or call 0808 223 1133.
Nothing in this contract affects your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. You may also have other rights in law.
Repairs
If you have a well-loved or damaged item then you can contact our customer service team, who will share images with our Atelier to assess whether it is possible to be repaired. The garment may need to be sent to our studio before the team can confirm whether a repair is possible, but contact via email is required before any garment is sent to our Atelier.
Used and worn items should be returned to us washed and in a clean condition, please note items received in an unacceptable state of cleanliness will be returned without assessment or repair. Worn items that have been damaged by general wear and tear are not to be considered as faulty.
Repairs may be charged dependent on the amount of work involved to fix the garment following assessment. Any charges will be confirmed before work on fixing the garment commences. For more information please email customerservice@bordelle.co.uk
Limitation on our Liability
Except for any legal responsibility that we cannot exclude in law (such as for death or personal injury) or arising under applicable laws relating to the protection of your personal information, we are not legally responsible for any:
- losses that were not foreseeable to you and us when the contract was formed;
- looses that were not caused by any breach on our part;
- business losses; or
-losses to non-consumers.
Bordelle Between Us
Bordelle Between Us is the loyalty programme offered by Bordelle Ltd. It is free to sign up to Bordelle Between Us and points can be earnt within any tier.
To qualify for Bordelle Between Us points you must register for an account. To register for an account, you can use the ‘Account’ tab on the top right of the header on www.bordelle.co.uk. Here. By creating a Bordelle Account, you will be automatically enrolled to our loyalty programme. You cannot sign up to Bordelle Between Us to start earning points unless you create a Bordelle Customer Account. Your account will give you access to order information, your personal details and the Bordelle Between Us Dashboard.
Purchases made using the guest checkout option will not add points to your account. Please ensure you are signed into your account, or sign up to an account before checking out, to ensure you earn points for every purchase. Bordelle Ltd is unable to add points retrospectively. If points could have been accrued on a guest checkout order but an account was not created, then these points are invalid and cannot be transferred to an existing Between Us account.
Points gained when placing an order on www.bordelle.co.uk will be pending until 14 days after the order was placed. Any points from purchases that are later returned will be automatically removed from your account. If the points status has changed from ‘pending’ to in your balance before a return is received, they will still be removed from your account. If you use these points to get a reward or against an order, the account balance will go into minus if that is required.
Points are redeemable online at www.bordelle.co.uk. You can redeem a minimum of 1500 points on your account dashboard to received a free Luxury Gift Wrap voucher code. You can also redeem your points to get money off. 1500 will earn you free luxury gift wrap. 2500 points will earn you a £25.00 off voucher, 5000 points for a £50.00 off voucher and 10000 for a £100.00 off voucher. To get these rewards you will be required to have a sufficient number of points, these can be found on your customer dashboard.
Each point you earn is equal to £0.01 and cannot be exchanged for cash. The minimum number of points you can spend is 1500 – equalling £15.00. Only one points voucher can be redeemed per order, and not in conjunction with any other offer or discount supplied by Bordelle Ltd. Points vouchers can be redeemed on items visibly discounted on our online shop.
Once you reach a redeemable number of points, you will be contacted with details of how you can obtain a voucher. Points can be redeemed for a money off voucher, free shipping and free luxury gift wrap. The minimum point value to reach the spend threshold is 1500 which can earn you a free luxury gift wrap code. Luxury Gift Wrap is free for all orders over £400.00, so we recommend to use this voucher for orders below £400.00.
Purchases of any Bordelle Virtual or Physical Gift Card will not qualify for points. Points can be earnt on an order where a Bordelle Virtual or Physical Gift Card is redeemed on a purchase.
Delivery charges are not included when calculating your earned points. You do not earn points from delivery charges. You can redeem points against delivery charges by earning the amount required and redeeming points for a free shipping voucher.
Your points balance will be refreshed every 12 months from the date of your last order. If you do not place an order within this time, your points will revert to 0. If you place an order within 12 months of your last order, your points will refresh again and you will have another 12 months of valid points.
You can complete activities via the Bordelle Between Us Account Dashboard. You cannot collect multiple points for performing the same action, such as following us on Instagram. You can earn points more than once for completing a referral or writing feedback. These are limited dependant on tier.
Bordelle Ltd may transfer, cancel, withdraw or alter Bordelle Between Us at any time, including these terms and conditions, our FAQ, points and the Rewards program, without notice.
Bordelle Between Us launched on 4th June 2021. Bordelle Ltd allocated every Bordelle Customer Account with 500 points and they have all automatically been signed up to the loyalty programme. Customers have been entered into Tiers based off their lifetime and estimated average yearly spend. This cannot be altered. Tiers are based on yearly spend on www.bordelle.co.uk. Your tier is not fixed and you can move up or down a tier. Your tier will be reviewed every 12 months. If you have not reached the spend threshold for the tier you are in, you will move to the Tier below. If you are in CORE, you will remain in CORE until you spend above £1,000 on www.bordelle.co.uk. Bordelle Between Us is only available on www.bordelle.co.uk and points, vouchers or perks cannot be used against any purchases outside of the www.bordelle.co.uk online shop.
By signing up to the Bordelle Between Us loyalty programme you agree to receive emails relating specifically to the programme. These emails will include information about your Tier, points balance, rewards and activities relating to Bordelle Between Us. You can unsubscribe at any time by contacting customerservice@bordelle.co.uk to cancel your account.
