Creating an account/newsletter subscription

To make a purchase on our website you are not required to register. You can proceed to checkout as a visitor should you not wish to open an account. However, to be able to use some of the services and features or to be notified of any promotional offers, discounts and/or special events, you may need to create an account or subscribe to our newsletter. An account can only be created after your first online purchase. You do not need to create an account to subscribe to our newsletter, but can opt to do so once you have created an account and have signed in. When you register, you are required to provide information about yourself that is true, accurate, current and complete in all respects. Placing an order

– Acceptance of your offer

Once you have made your choice and your order has been placed, you will receive an e-mail acknowledging the details of your order. This e-mail is NOT an acceptance of your order, just an acknowledgement that we have received it. Unless you cancel your order, acceptance of your order and completion of the contract between you and Atelier Bordelle will be completed when we e-mail you to confirm the goods have been dispatched. For the avoidance of doubt, the contract has been concluded in London, in the English language and is therefore governed by English law.

We reserve the right not to accept your order in the event that we do not obtain authorization for payment; that shipping restrictions apply to a particular item; or that the item ordered is out of stock.

We may refuse to process and therefore accept a transaction for any reason, or refuse service to anyone at any time at our sole discretion. We will not be liable to you or any third party by reason of our withdrawing any product from the website at any time, whether or not that particular product has been sold out.

– Eligibility to purchase

In order to make purchases through the website, you are requested to provide your personal details. Customers must provide their real name, billing address, shipping address, phone number, e-mail address and other requested information as indicated. Furthermore, when ordering items, you will be required to provide your payment details, and you represent and warrant that the payment details you provide on ordering are both valid and correct. Our site is only available for use to individuals who meet our terms of eligibility and who have been issued with a valid debit/credit card by a bank acceptable to Atelier Bordelle and whose applications are acceptable to Atelier Bordelle. Atelier Bordelle reserves the right to refuse to ship multiple items to any one customer or postal address.

By making an offer to purchase Atelier Bordelle merchandise you expressly authorise us to perform credit checks and where we deem necessary, to request additional information from third parties in order to authenticate your identity and validate your credit/debit card details in order to process your order.

If you are shopping for the first time on your billing address must match your shipping or corporate address, as appears on the statement of your card. This is a security measure and only applies to your first purchase. Please note that checks will be carried out to ensure that your billing and shipping addresses match on your first purchase.

Pricing policy

The prices on the product page are indicated excluding VAT. The total amount of the order including VAT and shipping is visualized in the shopping cart on the checkout page. For products supplied to clients within the European Community, the UK VAT rate of 20% is applied. Clients based in countries outside of the European Community will not be charged VAT.

Please note that your order may be subject to import duties and taxes over which we have no control as they are levied by your tax and customs office. As the customer and importer of the goods, you will be responsible for these charges. Import duties or tax costs will be invoiced to you directly from the appointed forwarder. We recommend you contact your local customs authority to determine a landed cost price prior to purchase completion. Atelier Bordelle is not responsible for any delays on goods that have been held back as a result of procedures carried out by your local customs authorities.

– Sale price adjustment policy

Only on request by the client will Atelier Bordelle offer a Sale Price Adjustment on items purchased up to 3 days prior to the commencement date of a sale. Please note that the exact style and size of an item must be available for purchase at the time your request is made before an adjustment in the sale price can be approved. All approved sale price adjustments will be created in the form of a store credit, which will be valid for 6 months and can be redeemed by contacting our atelier directly either by phone on +44 (0) 208 968 4488 or email

Atelier Bordelle will not offer a price adjustment on items originally purchased in a sale or any other promotion that are temporarily reduced in price. Once an item has been purchased at a discounted price or sale, no price adjustment will be offered should a further sale or price reduction follow.

Payment can be made by Visa, Visa Electron, Visa Debit, Visa Delta, MasterCard, American Express, Maestro debit cards, and via Paypal. Debit and credit card payments are processed via Sage Pay, a secure payment gateway provider. For more information on Sage Pay, please refer to . PayPal is an online payment processing company widely used on the Internet to facilitate sales transactions, including credit card payments. When you proceed with making your online purchase and you select PayPal as a method of payment you will be transferred to the PayPal site where your transaction will be processed. Payment will be debited and cleared from your account upon receipt of an order acknowledgement email. You confirm that the credit/debit card that is being used is yours or that you have been specifically authorised by the owner of the credit/debit card to use it. All credit/debit card holders are subject to validation checks and authorization by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorize payment to Bordelle, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.

Atelier Bordelle’s website and online shop is hosted by All Shopify stores include a 128 bit SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology Certificate used by the store shopping cart. In addition, Shopify’s e-commerce hosting is Level 1 PCI Compliant.

Furthermore, we take reasonable care, in so far as it is in our power to do so, to keep the details of your order and payment secure, but in the absence of negligence on our part we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorized access to any data you provide when accessing or ordering from the Site.

– Over the phone

Orders can also be placed by calling the atelier directly on +44 (0) 208 968 4488 and paying by debit/credit card or by emailing your order to upon which you will be contacted for payment to be taken over the phone. Your will have to state all your personal, billing and shipping details for an invoice to be raised and payment processed over the phone. Please note that if you are a first time buyer, your billing address will need to match your shipping address for your order to be accepted and proof of ID and/or address may be requested. Atelier Bordelle reserves the right to refuse telephone orders.

– By cheque

Atelier Bordelle also accepts payment by cheques drawn on UK bank accounts and made payable to Bordelle Ltd. When paying by cheque goods will only be dispatched on receipt of the funds.

– By wire transfer

We also accept payment by electronic wire transfers. Should you wish to place an order and pay in this way please contact stating your order. An invoice will be raised on confirmation of the order listing our corresponding bank details for a transfer to be made. Goods will only be dispatched on receipt of the funds.

– Promotion codes & debit notes

Promotion codes are non-transferrable and there are no cash alternatives. If provided, they must be redeemed by the date published. Credit notes are non-cash transferrable and must also be used within the allocated period either by emailing or by calling the studio directly on +44 (0) 208 968 4488 and specifying the product(s) you wish to redeem your credit on.

Gift Cards

Bordelle Virtual Gift Cards are sold subject to the following terms and conditions:

  1. Gift Cards are valid for 12 months from date of purchase.
  2. Gift Cards can be redeemed against all products on the online shop.
  3. Gift Cards are non transferable and may not be returned or redeemed for cash.
  4. If your order total is less than the value of the Gift Card, the remaining balance can be used as credit against future orders.
  5. If your order exceeds the value of the Gift Card and you have existing store credit, this can be redeemed to cover the remaining balance. All remaining balances exceeding the value of your gift credit or store credit must be paid by credit or debit card.
  6. If you return products you have purchased using a Gift Card, the remaining balance will be credited to your account as store credit and will be redeemed against subsequent orders.
  7. Gift Cards will be e-mailed to the recipient once the full order has been processed and payment has been taken. A copy will also be sent to the sender as confirmation of dispatch.
  8. Bordelle is not liable for delivery of a Virtual Gift Card to an incorrect or non-existent email address. This is the sole responsibility of the buyer.
  9. Bordelle is not responsible if a Gift Card is lost, stolen, destroyed or used without permission.
  10. Bordelle reserves the right to cancel a Gift Card if we deem such action necessary.
  11. Sales tax and shipping is applicable on any products purchased with a Bordelle.

Delivery and packaging

Atelier Bordelle aims to dispatch your order within 48 hours of receipt of payment details – excluding weekends, bank holidays and public holidays. This is subject to credit clearance and availability of stock. If a particular product is not in stock, or sold out we may be able to make it exclusively for you. To offer you the most secure and efficient service we have chosen UPS for UK and rest of Europe deliveries. DHL will be used for deliveries going to the USA, Canada, Ukraine, Russia and Asia. As soon as your order has left our studio you will receive a dispatch confirmation with the tracking number (Air Waybill) from the corresponding delivery company, together with details on how to track your order. Please note that these services might not be available during the festive and pre-festive days. Also note that the estimated delivery times are to be used as a guide only, and Atelier Bordelle is not responsible for any delays caused by destination customs clearance processes.

Atelier Bordelle insures each purchase for the time it is in transit only. A signature is required for any goods delivered, at which point responsibility for your purchased goods is passed to you.

Returns Policy

– Refunds

We want our customers to be fully satisfied with the choice they have made. If for any reason you are not happy with your order, or the delivered product does not match with your specifications, or you find a manufacturing defect you have the right to cancel your order provided you give us a written notice within 7 working days of receipt. This 7 days period starts from the date the goods have been signed for. The notice of contract cancellation must be given in writing, stating your full name and order ID as subject reference to or by post to:

We will issue you with a refund for your order excluding shipping costs. In return, you must return the product(s) to us in a new and unused condition, with the original label and tags and in the original bag and packaging. Shipping/postage costs to send back goods are charged to the customer. Please ensure that you use a courier or a registered service to send back goods and we suggest that you insure the goods as they are within your care and you are liable for any damages to the goods while in transit back to us. In case of dispute, we also recommend you retain proof of return, such as a postal receipt or consignment note.

Atelier Bordelle will contact you within 48 hours (with the exception of weekends and public holidays) of receipt of the returned goods. A refund (less shipping costs) will be issued subject to the returned goods meeting the conditions listed in the paragraph above. If you have paid via Paypal, any transactional charges that might apply will not be refunded as these charges are levied by Paypal and not Atelier Bordelle.

– Exchanges & Credit Notes

Should you wish to exchange your order for a different size and/or product(s) or be issued with a credit note, please fill in the Exchange/Credit Form enclosed with your order, stating your full name and order ID (or download it here) and return it together with your order to the address below. A written notice of an exchange/credit note must be received by post or emailed to within 7 days of receipt of your order.

Atelier Bordelle will be in contact with you within 48 hours of receipt (with the exception of weekends and public holidays) of your returned order. Shipping costs to send back/receive goods are charged to the customer. Exchanges are subject to stock availability. Should a particular product be out of stock the atelier may be able to make this for you and you will be contacted with exact details. Should you opt for a credit note, you will receive an email confirming the amount of credit you have with Atelier Bordelle. The credit is valid for a total of 6 months from the date of receipt and may be redeemed on any Bordelle product by emailing your request to or by contacting the studio directly on +44 (0) 208 968 4488. If the value of the credit is greater than the total cost of a new transaction, the outstanding credit will be retained for future redemption. Credit notes may be used in conjunction with other forms of payment in order to fulfil an order of greater value than the credit amount.

– Made to Measure & Ultimate Bespoke

The virtual atelier services are provided mainly for international customers and/or for customers who, for whatever reason, are not able to make it to the Bordelle showroom for an appointment. For this reason, Made to Measure orders can be purchased directly on the onlineshop where the customer is charged for the full price of the order upfront. The Made to Measure price is calculated at a fixed mark-up of 25% on the net retail price. On receipt of an online Made to Measure order the client will be emailed a link to a Measurement Form with detailed instructions and advice on the measurements required in order for the atelier to complete the order. The Measurement Form has an online submission feature and on completion, it can be electronically submitted to the atelier. The atelier will accept the customers own measurements under the condition that any inaccuraccies are the customer’s responsibility, and subsequently so are any fit problems that might arise as a result of the customer providing their own measurements. The atelier also offers a professional fitting service in the showroom on all Made to Measure and Ultimate Bespoke orders and we strongly advise our customers to book a fitting appointment if they are locally based and wish to purchase these services.

During busy periods a  Made to Measure order may take up to 3 months and Ultimate Bespoke services may take up to 6 months to complete. Any changes to the order should be highlighted by emailing or calling the studio on +44 (0) 208 968 4488 within 24 hours from date of purchase or the atelier will be unable to alter the previously confirmed specifications.
On both Made to Measure and Ultimate Bespoke orders Atelier Bordelle retains a non-refundable 50% of the final price of your order to cover for the ordering of fabric, accessories, pattern drafting and production time. If a Made to Measure and/or an Ultimate Bespoke order has been produced within the agreed time frame and to the specifications of the customer as detailed in the submitted Measurement Form and/or on confirmation of all measurements following a fitting appointment in the showroom, the order(s) are fully non-refundable.

For Ultimate Bespoke the deposit is charged once the client has agreed to go ahead with an order either during an appointment in the showroom or via a telephone or email confirmation.

Please note that for any orders placed within the studio and/or Made to Measure and/or Ultimate Bespoke Services the Distance Selling regulations do not apply.

Privacy policy

By consenting to our Privacy Policy (before subscribing to our newsletter; making online purchases; or opening a Bordelle account) you are granting consent to us retaining some personal data which you provide us with, such as your name, e-mail address, telephone numbers and addresses in order to process and deliver any orders you place; and in order to keep you informed via newsletters and e-mails. We will never share your personal data with third parties without your consent.

By placing an order with us you consent to your card/bank details being shared with our secure payment partners Sage Pay, American Express and Paypal so that your payment transaction is processed.
